Marketing Leadership Hour (Zoom)

About this task

This freight and logistics company (11–50 employees) is looking for a senior Marketing Manager for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. One hour with an experienced marketing leader on a hire, a budget or a channel decision.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Review a founder's marketing budget and hiring plan and answer three specific questions on what to do first.
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
• No preparation outside the hour unless you both agree to extend
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
