About this task

This Series B medical devices company for mental health (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Marketing Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Keeps campaigns, agencies and freelancers moving and the weekly numbers visible.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It works in healthcare, so patient data is never part of the task and privacy rules are strict.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Nevada, so this one is for residents there. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Run the weekly marketing meeting, review pipeline and spend, unblock two freelancers and send a one-page update every Friday.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Wednesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
