About this task
This defence technology company in avionics (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Brand Copy Editor for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Edits web copy to a voice and clarity standard.
The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. It works in aerospace, where change control and documentation are formal.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Texas, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Edit 20 website pages for voice, plain language and consistent terminology.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 4: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

- Travel or work at a fixed location
