About this task
This streaming and audio company covering business news (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Brand Copy Editor for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Edits translated copy so it reads natively in US or UK English.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It publishes content on a schedule, so editorial deadlines are fixed.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Review a translated product brochure for native-sounding US English.
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
