About this task
This Clinical-stage biotech in neuroscience (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Brand Copy Editor for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Keeps a house style current and consistent.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in life sciences, where documents are versioned and reviewed in a fixed order.
The company prefers a person who can come to Long Beach for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Update the style sheet monthly with decisions from edits and answer questions from writers.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Thursday: main working block (1 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
