About this task

This Series A cybersecurity software company for sales teams (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager Corporate Secretary & Governance for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Prepares written consents and the routine communications that investors expect.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The team sits in Arlington. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

• Prepare shareholder consent packages for a financing round and track signatures.
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call

What a week looks like

• Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Tuesday: main working block (1 hours)
• Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
