About this task
This electronics manufacturer supplying the auto industry (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Brand Copy Editor for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–20 h a month. Rewrites catalogue or UI text for consistency.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The team sits in Bellevue. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Standardise 500 product descriptions to a template and tone.
- A running log of open questions, reviewed at the start of each week
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 6 months, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
