About this task
This warehousing operator for food producers (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Operations Manager for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–24 h a month. Finds where a process loses time and fixes the worst steps.
A named list of recurring items keeps the month predictable for both sides. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The company prefers a person who can come to San Jose for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.
What you deliver
- Map the order-to-cash process, time each step and deliver five fixes with owners and expected savings.
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
What a month looks like
- Start of month: the company shares the items and the priorities
- Mid-month: progress check of 15 minutes
- Month end: hours used against the cap, results and open items
Duration: 6 months, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
