About this task
This Supply-chain software company (201–500 employees) is looking for an executive Fractional General Counsel for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Briefs and manages law firms and keeps the budget in check.
Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The team sits in Florence. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Brief outside counsel on a trademark dispute and review invoices against the estimate.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (1 hours)
- Tuesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
