About this task

This Restaurant-technology company in bakery products (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a manager Marketing Manager for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. One hour with an experienced marketing leader on a hire, a budget or a channel decision.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. It produces and sells food and drink, with seasonal peaks and strict labelling rules.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Review a founder's marketing budget and hiring plan and answer three specific questions on what to do first.
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 3: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
