About this task

This management consulting firm for healthcare providers (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Employee Relations Advisor for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–6 h a week. Guides a manager through a process in plain steps.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Hawaii, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

• Advise managers on performance and conduct cases and record the actions agreed.
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Thursday: main working block (2 hours)
• Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
