About this task

This digital marketing agency for consumer brands (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Employee Relations Advisor for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–6 h a week. Guides a manager through a process in plain steps.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is an agency, so work is organised around client campaigns and approval rounds.

The company prefers a person who can come to Edison for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Advise managers on performance and conduct cases and record the actions agreed.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Friday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Monday: main working block (2 hours)
• Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
