About this task

This brand and creative agency for consumer brands (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Agendas, pre-reads and decision notes for leadership meetings.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It is an agency, so work is organised around client campaigns and approval rounds.

The team sits in Santa Ana. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Run the weekly leadership meeting agenda, track decisions and send notes the same day.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Monday: main working block (3 hours)
• Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
