About this task
This omnichannel retailer with stores in six countries (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Agendas, pre-reads and decision notes for leadership meetings.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The company prefers a person who can come to Manchester for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Run the weekly leadership meeting agenda, track decisions and send notes the same day.
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (3 hours)
- Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
