About this task

This Direct-to-consumer brand for beauty (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a director Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Collects inputs from leaders and drafts the update.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Colorado, so this one is for residents there. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (MT).

What you deliver

• Draft the monthly investor update from leader inputs and send for approval.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Tuesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
