About this task
This boutique law firm (201–500 employees) is looking for a director Fractional General Counsel for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Minutes, resolutions and investor documents.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is a law firm; confidentiality is absolute and every file is handled under supervision.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).
What you deliver
- Prepare board resolutions and review investor side letters for the financing round.
- A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Friday: main working block (1 hours)
- Tuesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
