Side work as a recruiter: what to know
Recruiters can take side work in sourcing, screening and interview coordination, usually for specialist roles a company struggles to fill. A part-time engagement often means a fixed number of sourced and screened candidates per week rather than an open-ended search.
Non-solicitation clauses are the main risk. Do not contact candidates or clients you know through your employer, and check whether your contract restricts recruiting work in the same sector. Name the roles and markets you recruit for, and the tools you use for sourcing, because companies filter on both.
