Project Manager is one of the titles we hear most. These are the part-time roles where your experience carries over, what they pay per hour, and the tasks open now. About five hours a week, next to your main job.

Project managers are hired part time to bring order to work that is already running late: a status rhythm, a risk log that people read, a plan that matches reality. A typical engagement is a weekly planning session, two short check-ins and a written update, which fits into five hours.
Companies want to know which kind of projects you run, software releases, office moves, system rollouts or client programmes, and which tools you use. Be honest about meeting load; a project that needs daily stand-ups in another time zone will not fit next to a day job. Asynchronous updates and one fixed weekly call are the pattern that works.
In our data: 2,692 open tasks across the 3 roles that fit a project manager, 56% of them remote. The typical senior rate for Project Manager is $85 in the US, £40 in the UK, CA$70 in Canada and €45 in Germany an hour, before the company's 15% fee. The other roles that fit are PMO & Program Support, Process Documentation Specialist. Most of these tasks are sized for 5 to 12 hours a week.
