Data Scientist is one of the titles we hear most. These are the part-time roles where your experience carries over, what they pay per hour, and the tasks open now. About five hours a week, next to your main job.

Part-time data science work is narrower than a full-time role, and that suits evenings: test whether a model still performs, design an experiment and its sample size, review a colleague's notebook, or explain to leadership what a prediction can and cannot do. Many of these tasks end with a written memo rather than code in production.
Companies worry about two things, data security and ownership of the code. The brief states both: you work in the company's environment, and the company owns what you write. If your employer has an invention or IP clause, read it before you take modelling work; some clauses reach further than people expect, especially at research-heavy firms.
