About this task
This Series C HR software company for property managers (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Payroll Specialist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Ties payroll totals to the ledger and the year-end forms.
The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The team sits in Fairfield. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.
What you deliver
- Reconcile annual payroll to the general ledger and prepare the W-2 and 1099 check lists.
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
- Days 2 to 6: the work, with questions answered the same day
- Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
