About this task

This Growth-stage subscription commerce company for pet products (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Product Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–9 h a week. Owns the backlog and answers the team's product questions every week.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.

The team sits in Budapest. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.

What you deliver

• Groom the backlog, write acceptance criteria for the next sprint and answer open product questions within a working day.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
• A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
• Friday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
• Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
