About this task
This industrial manufacturer supplying medical devices (51–200 employees) is looking for a specialist Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Prepares payment batches and sends remittances.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The team sits in Boston. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Prepare Friday's payment run, check bank details against the vendor file and send remittance advice.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Monday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Tuesday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
