About this task
This Series A E-commerce platform for children's clothing (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Operations Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–9 h a week. Keeps cross-team work moving and the weekly numbers visible.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It sells online, so volumes move with promotions and the calendar matters.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Run the weekly ops review, chase blockers across three teams and send a one-page status every Friday.
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
- Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
- Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
