About this task

This consumer goods company in snacks (5,000+ employees) is looking for an executive Fractional CMO for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Weekly check-in that sets priorities and unblocks the team.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It sells consumer goods through retailers, so planning cycles run to a fixed monthly calendar.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Croatia. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Lead the weekly marketing call, set priorities and send a one-page summary of decisions.
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Thursday: main working block (2 hours)
• Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
