About this task
This boutique advisory firm for private equity (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a director Fractional CMO for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Weekly check-in that sets priorities and unblocks the team.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.
The company prefers a person who can come to Cardiff for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).
What you deliver
- Lead the weekly marketing call, set priorities and send a one-page summary of decisions.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
