About this task
This retail chain with 40 stores (51–200 employees) is looking for a director Fractional CMO for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Weekly check-in that sets priorities and unblocks the team.
Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a retailer with stores and an online channel, and the team works to a weekly trading rhythm.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (MT).
What you deliver
- Lead the weekly marketing call, set priorities and send a one-page summary of decisions.
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
- Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
- Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
