About this task

This digital marketing agency (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Collects tax forms and bank details and keeps the vendor master tidy.

The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It is an agency, so work is organised around client campaigns and approval rounds.

The work is fully remote. Any location in United States works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

  • Onboard 15 new vendors with W-9 or W-8 forms, bank verification and a clean master record.
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

  • Tuesday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
