About this task
This construction group in office refurbishment (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Collects tax forms and bank details and keeps the vendor master tidy.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.
The team sits in Long Beach. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Onboard 20 new vendors with W-9 or W-8 forms, bank verification and a clean master record.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
What a week looks like
- Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Friday: main working block (2 hours)
- Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
