About this task
This recruiting platform for finance hiring (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–10 h a week. Enters invoices, matches them to purchase orders and routes them for approval.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It works in staffing and HR technology, and the team is used to external specialists.
The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Massachusetts, so this one is for residents there. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Process the week's 150 vendor invoices with two-way matching and chase approvers for the 12 oldest.
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Friday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (4 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
