About this task
This vertical software provider for law firms (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–10 h a week. Enters invoices, matches them to purchase orders and routes them for approval.
The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The team sits in Irvine. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Process the week's 100 vendor invoices with two-way matching and chase approvers for the 8 oldest.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (4 hours)
- Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 16 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
