About this task

This gaming platform making strategy games (1,001–5,000 employees) is looking for a senior Business Analyst for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Writes and refines stories so engineers can start.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a games studio with release dates that move the whole calendar.

The company prefers a person who can come to Berlin for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.

What you deliver

  • Refine 12 backlog stories each week with acceptance criteria and open questions listed.
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
  • A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

  • Monday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
  • Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
  • Thursday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.

Who fits

  • Comfortable working in Jira and Confluence

  • A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late

Not included

  • Travel or work at a fixed location
  • Anything that needs a signature in your own name unless the brief says so
  • On-call availability outside the agreed window

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
