About this task
This specialty insurer (5,000+ employees) is looking for a senior Payroll Specialist for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Reconciles the year and prepares the slips and summary for the CRA deadline.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It is an insurer, so accuracy and an audit trail come before speed.
The work is fully remote. Any location in Canada works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Reconcile annual payroll to the ledger and prepare T4 and T4A slips for 80 people.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
