About this task
This Travel-technology company (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Procurement & Vendor Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Checks and registers new suppliers.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It works in travel and hospitality, where demand is seasonal.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United Kingdom works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.
What you deliver
- Onboard 20 suppliers with tax, insurance and bank checks.
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
- A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
What a week looks like
- Monday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Wednesday: main working block (3 hours)
- Thursday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
