About this task
This machinery maker making building materials (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Procurement & Vendor Manager for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Groups spend by supplier and category and finds savings.
The work is too small to justify a hire and too important to leave to chance. It manufactures physical products, and the office team works to month-end and plant schedules.
The work is fully remote. Any location in United Kingdom works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there.
What you deliver
- Analyse a year of spend by category and supplier and list the five largest savings opportunities.
- One round of edits after the company's review is included
- A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
- Last day: final version and handover note
Duration: about 10 working days. Accepted after the walkthrough. Edits requested within three working days are part of the price.
