About this task

This Public-sector services provider (51–200 employees) is looking for a senior Procurement & Vendor Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–8 h a week. Checks and registers new suppliers.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It supplies the public sector, so documentation follows contract rules.

The team sits in Poole. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

  • Onboard 25 suppliers with tax, insurance and bank checks.
  • A written update every Thursday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
  • Wednesday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
  • Thursday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
