About this task

This Series B web3 infrastructure company for institutions (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Privacy & GDPR Counsel for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Maps the US state privacy laws that apply to the company.

A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. It works in digital assets, where compliance and record keeping are a daily topic.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in California, so this one is for residents there. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

  • Map the obligations under California, Colorado, Virginia and Texas privacy laws against current practice.
  • A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
  • One round of edits after the company's review is included
  • The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

How the work runs

  • Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
  • Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
  • Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
