About this task

This international nonprofit in food security (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Project Manager for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–4 h a week. Keeps risks and issues current with owners and dates.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It is a nonprofit, so budgets are tight and grant reporting dates are fixed.

The team sits in Palermo. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Maintain the risk log, chase owners and escalate overdue items.
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Tuesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
• Monday: main working block (2 hours)
• Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
