About this task

This Space-technology company in drones (51–200 employees) is looking for a manager PR & Communications for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Clear, newsworthy release with quotes and boilerplate.

It is a self-contained job: scope, checklist and price are agreed before you start. It works in aerospace, where change control and documentation are formal.

The team sits in Little Rock. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CT).

What you deliver

• Write a funding announcement release with CEO and investor quotes and a fact sheet.
• One round of edits after the company's review is included
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 4: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.

• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
