About this task

This Series A vertical software provider for sales teams (11–50 employees) is looking for a manager Operations Manager for a paid one-hour session with a senior specialist. A senior operator's view on one decision.

A short, focused session replaces days of internal debate. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in Virginia, so this one is for residents there. The call is booked at a time that suits you, evenings included. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

What you deliver

• Review a scale-up plan for a support and fulfilment team and answer three questions on hiring order.
• Pointers to sources you relied on, so the company can check them
• One focused hour, with the questions sent to you the day before
• A short written summary of the advice within 24 hours after the session

How the work runs

• Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
• Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback
• Last day: final version and handover note

Duration: One session of about an hour. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in USD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
