About this task
This Series C B2B software company for hospitals and clinics (201–500 employees) is looking for a director Fractional COO for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings and metrics that run the company.
A fresh pair of experienced eyes is needed, and the result is a document or file the team can use straight away. The company sells subscription software, so deadlines follow release and billing cycles.
The team sits in Charlotte. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).

- Design the operating rhythm for a 50-person company and run the first quarter with leadership.
- The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed
- A 20-minute walkthrough call, or a recorded screen share if you prefer

How the work runs
- Day 1: scope confirmed in writing, files shared
- Middle of the period: draft shared for early feedback

Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
