About this task
This household products maker (201–500 employees) is looking for a director PR & Communications for an ongoing part-time engagement of 1–2 h a week. Coverage, reach and sentiment with notes.
The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It sells consumer goods through retailers, so planning cycles run to a fixed monthly calendar.
The team sits in New York City. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Compile monthly coverage with reach, key messages and share of voice against two competitors.
- A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Thursday: main working block (1 hours)
- Monday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
