About this task

This freight and logistics company for pharma (201–500 employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 3–6 h a week. Clear notes and action lists with owners and dates.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.

The work is fully remote. Any location in Latvia works, with a few hours of overlap with the team's day. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start.

What you deliver

• Take notes in four recurring meetings and send action lists within two hours.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
• A written update every Tuesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

• Thursday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Tuesday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
