About this task

This automotive supplier in EV batteries (5,000+ employees) is looking for a manager Chief of Staff for an ongoing part-time engagement of 4–8 h a week. Agendas, pre-reads and decision notes for leadership meetings.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It is an automotive business with long programme cycles and a strong paper trail.

The team sits in Reggio nell'Emilia. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

• Run the weekly leadership meeting agenda, track decisions and send notes the same day.
• Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
• A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
• A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends

What a week looks like

• Monday: pick up the queue and confirm priorities
• Midweek: two short working sessions of one to two hours
• Friday: update sent before the company's end of day

Duration: 6 months, then month by month. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
