About this task

This boutique advisory firm for energy companies (5,000+ employees) is looking for a director Fractional CMO for a single piece of work with a fixed scope and a fixed price. Reviews a launch plan for gaps, timing and measurement.

The company has a deadline, no one free to own it, and wants a person who has done the same job before. It is a consulting firm, so client deadlines set the pace and handover notes are expected.

The work is fully remote and open to anyone living in an EU country; the team itself works from Malta. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected.

What you deliver

• Review a product launch plan eight weeks out and send a prioritised list of 20 changes.
• A final note stating what was checked and what was left out of scope
• One round of edits after the company's review is included
• The finished deliverable in the agreed file format, with sources and assumptions listed

How the work runs

• Day 1: kickoff call and access to the files
• Days 2 to 4: the work, with questions answered the same day
• Last day: delivery and a short walkthrough

Duration: 2 to 3 weeks. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in EUR after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
