About this task

This utility company in solar (11–50 employees) is looking for a senior Process Documentation Specialist for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 12–30 h a month. A searchable internal help centre.

The company wants one reliable owner for a list of small jobs instead of five different people. It is an energy business with strict compliance and reporting cycles.

The work is fully remote, but the company can only contract people who live in British Columbia, so this one is for residents there. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).

What you deliver

• Structure and populate a 60-article internal knowledge base from existing notes.
• The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
• A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
• A month-end summary with hours used against the cap

What a month looks like

• Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
• Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
• Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month

Duration: 6 months, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.

How you get paid

• The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
• Deftridge pays you in CAD after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
• You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
• You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
