About this task
This boutique law firm (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a specialist IP & Trademark Support for a monthly bundle of recurring tasks, 8–12 h a month. Collects IP assignment agreements from staff and contractors.
The same kind of work comes back every month, so the company prefers one person with an hours cap over ad-hoc requests. It is a law firm; confidentiality is absolute and every file is handled under supervision.
The team sits in Los Angeles. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The work runs in two set slots a week, agreed with the team at the start. About 1 hour a week should overlap with the team's day (PT).
What you deliver
- Identify 30 people without IP assignments and collect signed agreements.
- A named list of items moved to next month, so nothing is lost
- The monthly list of items completed, each with a link to the result
- A month-end summary with hours used against the cap
What a month looks like
- Week 1: intake call and a list of what is due this month
- Weeks 2 and 3: items completed in short sessions
- Week 4: month-end summary and the list for next month
Duration: 12 weeks, with a monthly hours cap. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
