About this task

This construction group in logistics warehouses (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Part-Time Executive Assistant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 5–12 h a week. Sorts the inbox, drafts replies and protects focus time on the calendar.

The company wants a senior person on this without carrying the cost of a full-time role. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.

The company prefers a person who can come to London for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. You choose your hours; nothing is scheduled except an occasional short call.

What you deliver

  • Triage an executive's inbox daily, draft replies and manage a calendar across two time zones.
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • A written update every Monday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

  • Daily: one hour at a time that suits you, inside the agreed window
  • Friday: ten-minute sync if anything is blocked
  • Monday: weekly summary posted to the shared thread

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.

Who fits

  • 5-10 years of hands-on work as a Part-Time Executive Assistant, or the equivalent mix of roles
  • Comfortable working in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Calendly
  • Your own work history stays private; the company sees a first name, your field and a rate

Nice to have

  • Has worked with a distributed team across time zones
  • A habit of asking one clarifying question early rather than five late

Not included

  • Travel or work at a fixed location
  • On-call availability outside the agreed window
  • Work outside the scope written in the brief; extra items are quoted separately

How you get paid

  • The company prepays Deftridge before your first hour, so payment does not depend on a late invoice.
  • Deftridge pays you in GBP after the company confirms the hours or the deliverable. The payment date is written in your task agreement.
  • You work as an independent contractor: you report your own income, and your recruiter sends the statements your accountant needs.
  • You never chase the company. Questions about money go to Deftridge.
