About this task

This construction group in residential development (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Part-Time Executive Assistant for an ongoing part-time engagement of 5–12 h a week. Sorts the inbox, drafts replies and protects focus time on the calendar.

Workload peaks and dips, so a few fixed hours a week fit better than a full-time seat. It works in real estate and construction, where project documents change often.

The team sits in Edinburgh. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. Most people do this on weekday evenings; replies inside the working day are not expected. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (UK time).

What you deliver

  • Triage an executive's inbox daily, draft replies and manage a calendar across two time zones.
  • A written update every Friday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked
  • Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day

What a week looks like

  • Wednesday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Tuesday: main working block (4 hours)
  • Friday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the output matches the agreed checklist and the sample check passes; the recruiter confirms by e-mail.
