About this task

This digital bank serving small businesses (201–500 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Checks expense reports against policy and flags exceptions.

The person who did this left, and the company would rather bring in an experienced part-timer than rush a permanent hire. It is a regulated bank; the work is documented and reviewed before anything is signed off.

The team sits in Paderborn. Everything can be done remotely; an occasional visit is welcome and never required for the first month. The company prefers early-morning hours, before a normal working day starts. About 3 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (CET).

What you deliver

  • Audit 150 expense reports for policy breaches and duplicate claims and send a summary to finance.
  • Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
  • A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
  • A written update every Wednesday with what was done, what is next and anything blocked

What a week looks like

  • Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
  • Friday: main working block (2 hours)
  • Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open

Duration: 8 weeks, renewable. Accepted when the company contact confirms the deliverable against the written checklist. One round of edits is included.
