About this task
This warehousing operator for food producers (501–1,000 employees) is looking for a senior Accounts Payable Specialist for an ongoing part-time engagement of 2–5 h a week. Checks expense reports against policy and flags exceptions.
The team is stretched and wants steady, predictable help instead of another full-time hire. It moves goods for customers, so the data is operational and updated daily.
The company prefers a person who can come to Detroit for kickoff and the final review; the rest is remote. Evenings or weekends are fine, as long as the agreed weekly output is there. About 2 hours a week should overlap with the team's day (ET).
What you deliver
- Audit 200 expense reports for policy breaches and duplicate claims and send a summary to finance.
- Work logged against the agreed list, so the company contact can see progress without a call
- A short handover note when the engagement pauses or ends
- Questions collected in one thread, answered within one working day
What a week looks like
- Thursday: 15-minute check-in to agree the week's items
- Monday: main working block (2 hours)
- Wednesday: hand-off note with what shipped and what is open
Duration: 12 weeks, renewable. Accepted on the company's written OK. If something is missed, you fix it in the same week at no extra charge to either side.
